BECOMING A CHARACTER ADVOCATE
A major key to the success of the Valley Character initiative will be in the amount of involvement of the adults in our community! We need a strong grass-roots movement, with Advocates supporting the character-building efforts of our schools, and promoting the ideals of good character within all points of our community.

  • In homes

  • On our streets
  • On playgrounds
  • In malls and stores
  • On sports fields

You can lead this effort if you become a Character Advocate of Valley Character. Basically, you would establish a regular "gathering place" such as a business, House of Worship, sports club or other social club.

Your goal would then be to take the initiative to create a team by inspiring and guiding other adults and youth to become involved in community and service projects which promote the same "pillars of character" now being taught within our schools: Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Respect, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

Do you wish to become a Character Advocate? We'll tell you ways to work with other Advocates in similar organizations as well as ways we can support your efforts. Will you take the next step? Let us know your ideas for projects as well!
