Students or Parents... Do you know of someone who deserves an award for Character?
Each month, starting with October 2005, we are going to select Roanoke Valley Residents who have shown excellent character. Our panel of judges will pick the most impressive in each of the 6 categories below and they will be published on our website and elsewhere.
Those selected - and those nominating them - will receive special Valley Character “Mayors & Chairs” Awards Certificates and will be honored as our guests at the Valley Character “Mayors & Chairs” Awards Dinner next October, at the Hotel Roanoke. You can nominate any person you know for any one of the 6 following categories:
Adult - Parent
Adult - Teacher
Adult - Other
Child - Elementary School Age
Youth - Middle School Age
Youth - High School Age
All you need to do is to write a few words telling us who they are and why you think they have shown really good character.
